In addition to the music, you&#8217;ll have a chance to win prizes via a raffle and there will be an auction for various items including artwork, musical instruments, etc. Doors open at 7 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s more about this wonderful organization:<\/p>\n<p>Being a musician is a labor of love. Unfortunately, most full-time musicians can\u2019t rely on a steady paycheck or employer-funded health insurance, leaving many uninsured or under-insured. When tragedy strikes, this stark reality can be devastating.\u00a0<strong>MAMA Cares<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>was born from a desire to do something about this.<\/p>\n<p>MAMA Cares was formed in 2015 as a result of a benefit event to raise funds for longtime\u00a0Madison musician,\u00a0Robert J. Conaway\u00a0and his\u00a0\u00a0family, who faced steep medical bills after their son became gravely ill. The event was a large success and the Conaways\u00a0wished to help the Madison Area Music Association establish a fund that could help in such instances. Robert\u00a0seeded the initiative with $500 and the first Fund was named after his son, the Jacy Ray Fund.<\/p>\n<p>MAMA Cares has established criteria that, when met, can result in the disbursal of funds to help Madison-area musicians and their direct families in times of need.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please join us in supporting this MAMA Cares.
